HERE ARE SOME GUIDELINES TO HELP YOU GET STARTED
- Here are general definitions to help you find the best tone for your letter:
- ALLOGRAFT – a tissue graft from a donor of the same species as the recipient but not genetically identical.
- DECEASED DONOR – those who donate their organs and/or tissue after they have died. Tissues include bone, skin, and tendons.
- Use simple language.
- Do not include identifying information about yourself in the letter as, throughout the process, both parties must remain anonymous until both parties have signed authorizations to disclose personal information. You may include only the first names of your family members. Consider omitting any religious comments, since the religion of the donor family is unknown.
